Working in New York City for the past 4 years, Anna’s projects have included designing collateral for Mayor Bloomberg, CD covers for Julio Iglesias and Jay-Z, film posters for Robert Redford, websites for corporate clients, and an art installation for Parson’s School of Design. Most recently, she worked with director extraordinaire, Dave Meyers on a whimsical website to promote a group of music video directors. The site was awarded best web concept by Net Diver Magazine.
A Bulgaria native, Anna has only called New York City home since 2004. Previous to that, she worked in St. Louis as a multimedia designer for a boutique studio. She began her career at Washington University Design Program. She finds her inspiration walking down the streets of her two homes, New York and Bulgaria. Her design style is deeply influenced by the tension of color, texture, and space between these two cultures.
An individual with many interests, Anna is most passionate about devoting her time and talent to the AIGA Student Mentoring Program. She was also a mentor for 4 years at the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis. This experience provided insights for her theses in which she created an awareness campaign for the museum, bringing sponsorship to the program.
As a designer, Anna has a Zen-master balance of project organization and attention to detail. Don’t be fooled by her sweet demeanor. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.
